After my studies, I worked for 5 years as a graphical designer for several publishers, design companies et cetera. Because of the high production level, there was no time left for the substantial of graphical designing. I missed this, therefore in 1992 I decided to dedicate myself to the basics for a period of two years. My major goal was to return to the materializing of the medium; back to the (creative) basics!

I started joining master classes in painting at the Amsterdam Institute for Painting. By doing so, I found out that my heart really goes out to painting. This passion for painting made me decide to paint at a professional level. To do so, I visited several other master classes.

Along the way, I started with computer animated images. I believe this way of making art complements my graphical designing and painting experience.
